As patients get sicker and sicker at hospitals nurses are increasingly forced to give less attention to anyone who is not in an immediate crisis. Some hospitals turn to travel nurses to solve the problem. Others create incentive programs to get nurses to work longer hours and more days. Even technology is being looked at to help solve the nursing shortage.
