Nursing Humor

Years ago when I was in nursing school they had a guest speaker come in and talk about humor in nursing. The value of humor on healing, coping and facing the challenges that life throws our way in nursing were discussed. Even more importantly it highlighted to me that humor was OK. Yes, nursing does have a certain gallows humor on occasssion. But, there is also the theraputic effect both on you and your patients. When your traveling and facing challenging assignments a little humor can go a long way.

One of my favorite sites to visit is called Nurstoon.com The humor features nurses (of course) and is usually dead on. So if you need a good laugh remember its theraputic.
